Afterguard Meeting Monday 3/08/21 1800 Coordinator: John Meeks All members are welcome to join the AG meeting, which will take place via zoom. Contact Master John Meeks for the zoom link. 2021 Junior Sailing Program Registration is now open! Our two-week morning sessions focus on non-race instruction for all sailing levels. Junior sailors will learn how to safely setup (rig), launch, steer, and land their boats. They will learn the rules of the water, ways to identify wind direction, basic knot tying, points of sail, upwind and downwind sailing, tacking and jibing, capsize recovery, and man overboard recovery. Our four-week afternoon sessions focus on racing specific skills where Jr. Sailors continue hone seamanship and boat handling skills, while also learning racing rules, how to navigate a race course, racing strategies and tactics, trimming for speed, and starting techniques. Sailors have the opportunity participate in several out of town regattas as part of the program.
